Hello folks.

Would anyone who is currently playing an Elementalist, or has played an Elementalist with the current or previous iterations of the system please contact through my e-mail address linked above?

I'm primarily looking for some feedback on the system in general from people who have experience with it.

Thanks for your time!

on Mon Jun 23 23:38:49 2008

Mark your calenders, August 2nd will be the date for this years summer revels. I'll be hosting it at my summer cottage. There will be more details to follow as the date gets closer, but there will be plenty of crash space, a beautiful pond for swimming, and good food and good fun.

Aid in return

by Jendrik of the Mists (in-game)
on Mon Jun 23 15:36:09 2008

I owe the settlement a great debt. You people out of pure generosity brought me back from the very brink of shadow.

As some of you know I am an acolyte of the benefactor, and a student of warfare. I have leave from the benefactor to frequent the settlement and lend what aid I can.

Next moon I shall be meeting prospective students in the Library at the 3rd bell past high sun on the 6th day.

I will teach any who wish to learn the ability to use a weapon to do so. In the future I will be teaching more advanced techniques.

I ask any who would learn a weapon to take a minimum of one hours time to research the weapon of your choosing in the library between gatherings. I shall make available some memoirs of the great masters from all over Areth and beyond, as well as some of my more humble writings.

The Moon in Reverse

by Synnovea Rose Tsingani (Rae Sockut) (in-game)
on Sun Jun 22 21:27:17 2008

Vision is not seeing things as they are, but as they will be.

Rotas, your path is getting darker and it is your intentions that are currently suspect. Kin or no, I do not believe the motivations you act upon are your own.

No brother hands his sister over to another without so much as a by-your-leave.

No gypsy male would so easily offer up the treasure that is a gypsy female as you did last moon.

I am not your possession. I do not belong to you or to that which I sense surrounds you.

Hopefully, you are strong enough for what is coming.

We are going to start it as a BBQ starting around noon till it gets dark ( this part is and will be good if you wanted to brng the little ones but after dark we are not responsible)

then we will head inside to start the party up the only way we know how till it gets late or early and pass out sounds like a plan to me

we will have crash space but i would suggest bringing some sleeping gear

there is plenty of parking because its in an apt complex ( no more parking band YAYAY)

If you need directions just drop me a mesg and i will take care of the rest trust me its easier to get to then our current place

as always we are giving you all plenty of time to arrange the time need off to join us so NO EXCUSES unless there good ones we will be the judge of that

and as always it is more like 3 days for people who live far away or even people who just want to come hang out we normally have a small little pre party Friday night

Friday = Pre party starting around 6pm Saterday = BBQ at Noon / Main party like 7-8ish Sunday = Recovery

Cant wait to see you all there

My Intentions

by Kendall Abra (Domingo Silva) (in-game)
on Thu Jun 12 20:09:20 2008

It has come to light, that some have seen my attraction and oath to Synnovea in a negative way. This is most unfortunate, because my intentions were always honorable and sincere.

I had always planned on making a new life for myself on the frontier, it was a sad day for me when I realized that it was not possible. Events beyond my control have taken me far away and although I can not be there in the flesh. I believe Synnovea knows that she holds my heart, and if a time comes when her world grows dark and she needs me, there is no power on Areth that will keep me from her. I promise that she needs only to send me a message and I will cross any obstacle to keep my oath to her...

I hope this clarifies my intentions..

Take Care and keep sharp

Kendall

Quick Question

by Brendan Gmyrek (out-of-game)
on Wed Jun 11 15:59:31 2008

OK, this is a two parter actually - I though it might be fun to have a Mister and Miss New Galen Pageant. I'm thinking it should be silly and entertaining, perhaps something to do in the slow time in the afternoon Saturday. We're talking sahes and tiaras, and that's just for Heymesh. :)

However, I am a bit concerened that some people might not like this, and I don't want to piss anyone off (or make them uncomfortable. Also, this won't be a beauty pageant. I'm thinking tests of talents (singing, music, whatnot), skills, fighting, and no swimsuit competition (again, sorry Heymesh ;).

The second part - should I still call it the New Galen Pageant?? Since we aren't technically being controlled by them... though it is still the name of the town, and I have interest in changing the name.

Ideas? Comments? Questions? Objections?

Do your BGS now

The pels are splashing in. If you haven't done so, do your BGS and pel now while your goals and accomplishments are still fresh. Two weeks before Fall one you'll be saging toe-jam because you forgot how curious you were about Clacky and his final death ability-

on Mon Jun 9 23:34:12 2008

Address From the N`Veen

by Dhakhaosek (Dennis Adams) (in-game)
on Mon Jun 9 23:31:25 2008

It came as a great shock to everyone when Master Death rewarded Joseph's many years of dedication with a more closer way to serve him. Joseph's passing saddens us all, however he is still looking out for the settlement in a new way. I understand how all of you looked up to Joseph and have high expectations for me. I hope to live up to those expectations.

For the time being, I am an apprentice N`Veen, and have big shoes to fill. I am still learning the skills I need to serve Master Death. I know my abilities may be limited and I may not be able to help everyone but I will try my best. I ask for help, from anyone willing to give it, in protecting the graveyard and helping me with the tasks Master Death sets before me.

I am still fairly new to the settlement and have not gotten to know many of you as well as I would like. I understand that the settlement has a rich history, and I would enjoy hearing your stories and those of the ones who have given their lives for the settlement. Please come find me if you have something to share, if I'm not in the graveyard feel free to seek me out.

I appreciate your understanding in this uncomfortable transition.

Thanks to all the staff and NPCs for making one of the hottest weekends I've ever LARPed on a lot of fun. I can't imagine what it was like running around in that heat in masks and makeup, but thanks to all of you who did.

Who's got good quotes? I know I was around for some, but I'm blanking on them now. Though I will remember for a long time the image of a fiend valiantly attempting to knock Orrin's hat off a stick... and failing. :)
