Backup CharactersIn the 5'th dition rule book there is a section on Point Cap per season and information on Back up characters. It appears that when we created this some of the sentences became transposed and the numbers in regards to back up characters is wrong.It should be listed as: Point Cap: The maximum number of points that can be spent on any one character in any season is 20. The 5 CP for a first character, the initial 10 character starting points, and 1 CP character history point do not count towards this limit. Points earned in-game via alchemy, (Transpose Spirit, Drain, et al) or by other means also do not count towards the 20 points per character per season limit. There are two seasons in a year: Spring and Fall. For our purposes, the Winter Feast is considered part of the spring season, and the Summer Revels is part of the fall season. It is possible to earn more than 20 points in a season, but those points must either remain on your player information page, or be spent into a second ‘backup’ character. Backup characters are limited to a total of 45 starting points. This point total includes the 10 points for a new character and the 1 point for a character history. Once they have been played, they can continue to earn and spend points as normal. |
