Description
This skill allows the use of a buckler in combat. A buckler is a small round shield no more than 14 inches in diameter (including the adddition of padding) and containing only a central hand grip. A buckler may not be strapped to your arm or hand in any way.
The construction of the buckler must otherwise conform to the Legends shield construction rules. It may not include any potentially dangerous protrusions that may cause physical injury or damage to a regulation boffer weapon. The rim edges must be padded with closed cell foam (with a 5/8 inch wall) to avoid injury resulting from unintentional contact with the shield.
As with any shield type, bucklers may only be used defensively, intentional shield bashing is dangerous and expressly forbidden.
